Management and Delivery of Complex IT Programs
Many of our clients need a full spectrum of technology services. The management and delivery of their programs requires a partner who knows all of the aspects and interconnections that make up a program. For clients like the FDA and VA, we provide knowledge leaders who can help avoid pitfalls, offer best practices, and create innovative approaches to new problems.
Enterprise Architecture
HPTi enterprise architecture services help government agencies develop effective business transformation plans enabled by IT. HPTi's enterprise architects help improve business performance, promote agility, and implement cutting-edge information systems and technologies. We have developed enterprise architectures at several agencies including DHS and FDA and have been thought leaders supporting at OMB, supporting EA across the federal government.
Program Management Office Support
HPTi creates best practices by drawing on the tenants of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and the Software Engineering Institute's (SEI) Capability Maturity Model/Integration (CMM/I). We tailor these practices to our clients' programs to create repeatable processes and continuous improvement. We transfer our knowledge, gained over the years by implementing best practices within the federal government, to create a self-growing organization that adapts to change and delivers excellence.
Capital Planning and Investment Control
The federal government requires a process known as Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC) to support IT-related investments. HPTi works with agency CIOs and CFOs to implement CPIC processes and to develop OMB-required investment documentation known primarily as OMB Exhibit 300s. The Exhibit 300 describes all aspects of an IT-related investment, from business case justification through spending plans, and the status of investments against plans.
Earned Value Management
There is always a demand for projects to be more fiscally responsible. Earned Value Management is one way to make sure a project is on track. We enable managers to oversee their project and portfolio management, leading to more efficient management. Our consultants work with clients to increase project effectiveness.
