Picatinny Arsenal is located in Morris County, New Jersey. Fishing, swimming, and hiking are offered along the Delaware River only half an hour from Picatinny. The high peaks of the Adirondacks are a five-hour drive away, the Jersey Shore is from one to three hours away, skiing at the Pocono Mountains is one hour away, trains and buses run out of Dover, NJ (five minutes from the Arsenal), NYC is only a 40-minute ride to the east, and Philadelphia is less than a two-hour drive away.
